JOB DESCRIPTION Senior Electrical Power Systems Engineer

Candidates residing in Navi Mumbai or nearby areas will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct electrical load estimation for all 19 shops, including demand factors, diversity factors, maximum demand calculations, and preparation of the overall load schedule.
Design the 11kV/415V substation, including transformer sizing, SF6 GIS/Air-Insulated Switchgear, RMU configuration, and protection relay coordination.
Design the Diesel Generator (DG) backup system, including AMF panels, DG sizing for critical facilities, and changeover requirements.
Design the earthing and lightning protection system, including earth pits, earthing grids, bonding, and surge protection.
Design the complete LV electrical distribution system, including feeders, distribution boards, cable sizing, and cable routing.
Design external lighting systems for the yard, access roads, and hazardous areas.
Prepare Positive for Construction (GFC) drawings, including substation layouts, switchgear rooms, DG halls, transformer yards, cable route plans, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and shop-level DB layouts.




Specify energy metering for individual shops and prepare earthing resistance test formats for commissioning.
Define Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) requirements for transformers, switchgear, and associated equipment.
Coordinate with civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and project teams and support testing, commissioning, and technical troubleshooting.

Qualifications
B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering.
8–10 years of experience in HV/LV electrical design for industrial facilities.
Proven experience in 11kV substation design and protection relay coordination.
Knowledge of IS 732, IS 3043, IS 5216, National Building Code (NBC), and CEA regulations.
Experience in hazardous area electrical classification as per IS/IEC 60079.

Key Skills
ETAP or equivalent software for load flow, short-circuit, and protection studies.
AutoCAD for GFC drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and cable route plans.
Protection relay coordination.
HV/LV power distribution and substation design.
Earthing and lightning protection systems.
Hazardous area classification (IEC 60079).
Industrial electrical systems, commissioning, technical documentation, and problem-solving.
