We are currently looking for an ambitious Tax Accountant to join our tax team at Argus on a permanent basis. The Tax Assistant will join a growing tax team of seven, two in Mumbai and five in London and will provide support to our London based Head of International Tax.
The role will be tax compliance focused and will provide the successful candidate with exposure to a wide variety of global tax issues and the ability to develop quickly in an international tax role.
Key responsibilities
International indirect tax (VAT, GST, US Sales and Use tax) return preparation.
Analysis for corporation tax purposes and withholding tax administration.
Drafting responses to customer tax queries.
Accounts Payable tax administration.
Balance sheet account reconciliations.
E-invoicing research and administration.
Assisting the Head of International Tax with ad-hoc work as required.
Skills and Experience
Qualified accountant with 2+ years experience in indirect taxes.
Comfortable with using technology such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Co-Pilot and Power BI.
Experience of working in a tax team for a large international organisation preferable.
Ability to perform tasks to a high level of accuracy.
Able to identify and suggest process improvements.
Working at pace under time pressure in order to meet deadlines.

This is a full-time position operating under a hybrid mode, with three days in the office and two days working remotely. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 09:00 to 18:00, with a one-hour lunch break.
