Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and dependable Commis II – Indian Curry to assist in the preparation and cooking of Indian curries, gravies, sauces, and accompaniments. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of Indian cooking techniques, spices, and basic kitchen operations, with the ability to maintain consistency during busy service periods.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook Indian curries, gravies, sauces, and accompaniments according to recipes and SOPs
Prepare base gravies, spice mixes, marinades, and other mise en place
Maintain consistency in taste, texture, portion size, and presentation
Assist the Chef de Partie and senior kitchen staff during service
Ensure proper preparation and storage of ingredients
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the curry section
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times
Monitor ingredient levels and inform seniors of shortages or wastage
Ensure proper handling, storage, and labeling of food products
Assist with other kitchen duties as required during operations





Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 1–2 years of experience in an Indian kitchen preferred
Good knowledge of Indian curries, gravies, and spice combinations
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume kitchen
Good knife skills and basic cooking knowledge
Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency
Strong hygiene, discipline, and teamwork
Ability to work under pressure during peak service

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a restaurant, hotel, or commercial kitchen
Culinary training or relevant certification is an advantage
Experience with both North Indian and regional Indian cuisine is preferred

Working Conditions
Quick-paced commercial kitchen environment
Long periods of standing
Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required

Outcome Expectation: Prepare consistent, flavorful, and well-presented Indian curries and gravies while maintaining high standards of hygiene, efficiency, and kitchen discipline. Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹14,000.00 per month
