Job Summary

We are looking for a Java Backend Engineer with 7+ years of experience in designing, developing, and operating scalable Java-based backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Quarkus or Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, Azure cloud, and microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and operate highly scalable Java-based microservices and platform capabilities.
Build and maintain event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka.
Design, develop, and maintain APIs and integration services.
Ensure high availability, security, and reliability of data pipelines.
Follow engineering best practices, code quality standards, and automation.
Participate in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and incident resolution.

Mandatory Skills
7+ years of hands-on software development experience with the latest versions of Java.
Hands-on experience with Quarkus framework (or Spring Boot).
Experience with cloud-native application development on Microsoft Azure.
Solid experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architecture.




Good understanding of Kafka architecture, including clusters, brokers, partitions, replication, and offsets.
Expertise in designing high-throughput, low-latency messaging systems on Azure.
Knowledge of partitioning strategies, consumer groups, and message delivery semantics.
Knowledge of data serialization formats such as Avro, Protobuf, and JSON.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
Experience in building real-time stream processing applications.
Valuable understanding of Apache Flink concepts including:
State management
Checkpointing
Fault tolerance
Event-time processing
Windowing

Additional Skills
Experience working in complex enterprise environments.
Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and Microsoft Logging Framework.
