We are looking for a passionate and skilled SDE 1 – Java Backend Developer with 2–3 years of experience to join our client's product engineering team on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract. The ideal candidate should possess strong backend development expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and hands-on experience in building scalable microservices and APIs.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a fast-paced client project while contributing to high-performance backend systems in an eCommerce environment.
Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java.
Build and optimize Microservices-based architecture.
Develop and consume RESTful and gRPC APIs.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best engineering practices.
Analyse and optimize algorithms with strong understanding of Data Structures, Time Complexity, and Space Complexity.
Design low-level components using sound Low-Level Design (LLD) principles.
Work with SQL databases for data modelling, querying, and optimization.
Implement CI/CD pipelines to support automated build, testing, and deployment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, and DevOps.
Use Git for version control and collaborative development.
Deploy and maintain applications on AWS cloud services.
Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.
