Role Description The Java Specialist will work in a part-time, remote capacity, supporting the firm’s technology needs through the design, development, and maintenance of Java-based software solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing and optimizing applications using Jakarta EE, microservices architectures, and up-to-date design patterns to improve internal workflows and client-facing tools.

The role will involve collaborating with legal and administrative teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability of systems.

The Java

Specialist will also troubleshoot and refactor existing code, perform code reviews, and contribute to documentation and best practices that enhance overall software quality.

Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with a focus on Java-based applications.




Hands-on experience with Jakarta EE and related enterprise Java frameworks.
Practical knowledge of Microservices architectures and associated tools or frameworks.
Solid understanding and application of Design Patterns in software engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience integrating software solutions in professional services or legal settings is an advantage.
Ability to work independently in a remote, part time setting, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and commitment to secure, compliant software solutions.
