Role & responsibilities

Trust & Governance
Handle all legal matters related to Trust Deeds, Amendments, By-laws, Resolutions, and Minutes
Ensure compliance with Indian Trust Act, Societies Act, Public Trust Act, and other applicable laws
Advise Trustees and senior management on governance, legal structuring, and statutory obligations.

Documentation & Compliance
Draft, vet, and review all agreements, MoUs, contracts, affidavits, deeds, and legal correspondence
Maintain and audit complete legal documentation of the Trust and all its institutions
Ensure timely filings with Charity Commissioner, Registrar, Courts, Government Bodies, and Regulatory Authorities

Litigation & Legal Strategy
Coordinate with external counsels for ongoing litigation
Prepare briefs, documentation, and case strategy for court matters
Track cases, notices, and legal deadlines across all Trust entities

Property & Institutional Matters
Handle legal documentation related to land, leases, licenses, conveyance deeds, and property disputes
Ensure transparent title documentation and compliance for Trust-owned properties
Support expansion, acquisition, and institutional development from a legal standpoint





Regulatory & Education Law
Advise on compliance related to UGC, AICTE, MCI/NMC, INC, PCI, NAAC, NBA, and other regulators
Review statutory approvals, affiliations, and inspections from a legal lens
Support current institutions, programs and approvals

Risk Management
Identify legal risks and propose mitigation strategies
Ensure preventive legal compliance to avoid disputes
Maintain confidentiality and always uphold the Trusts reputation

Preferred candidate profile

Experience Required

Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience as a practicing lawyer, with proven experience handling trusts, societies, or large educational institutions.
LL.B. (Mandatory)
LL.M. preferred
Registered with the Bar Council of India

Strong command over Trust Law, Education Law, Property Law, Contract Law
Excellent drafting, interpretation, and negotiation skills
Ability to handle complex, multi-institution legal structures
High integrity, discretion, and accountability
Solid coordination skills with trustees, management, government offices, and advocates
