Education
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Allied Health, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Diploma or certification in CSSD/Sterile Processing preferred.
Additional management qualification is an advantage.

Experience
5–10 years of experience in Central Sterile Services or Sterile Processing.
Minimum 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Experience in a hospital, preferably with operating theatres and specialty surgical services.

Key Responsibilities
Manage the daily operations of the CSSD department.
Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and storage of reusable medical devices.
Maintain compliance with national and international sterilization standards.
Develop and implement departmental policies and standard operating procedures.
Supervise, train, and evaluate CSSD staff.
Coordinate with Operating Room, Infection Control, Biomedical Engineering,



and Nursing departments.
Monitor sterilization equipment performance and preventive maintenance.
Maintain accurate sterilization records and documentation.
Lead quality improvement initiatives and infection control compliance.
Manage inventory of surgical instruments, consumables, and sterile supplies.
Prepare for accreditation inspections and regulatory audits.
Investigate incidents related to sterilization failures and implement corrective actions.
