Report before shift commencement and review the previous shifts handover.
Verify available manpower, machine status, cocoon stock, production plan and quality instructions.
Allocate operators machine-wise and end-wise according to certification and skill.
Ensure only certified operators are deployed for specialised operations.
Assign reelers based on their approved capacity, including 40-end, 50-end or higher-end handling.
Allocate rereelers according to certified end-handling capacity.
Ensure adequate coverage for cooking, brushing, reeling, rereeling, lacing, weighing, waste collection and housekeeping.
Reallocate manpower promptly in case of absenteeism or process imbalance.
Conduct a short shift-start briefing covering targets, quality issues, safety and previous-shift problems.
