Job Summary:

The Clinical Psychologist in a cancer hospital provides psychological assessment, counselling, and emotional support to cancer patients and their families. The role focuses on helping patients cope with diagnosis, treatment, stress, anxiety, depression, and end-of-life concerns while working closely with the oncology team.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments of cancer patients to identify emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns.
Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
Help patients cope with cancer diagnosis, treatment side effects, and lifestyle changes.
Offer support for anxiety, depression, fear, grief, and trauma related to illness.
Develop and implement therapeutic interventions and coping strategies.
Work closely with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for holistic patient care.
Provide crisis intervention and emotional support in critical situations.
Support patients in palliative care and end-of-life stages.
Educate patients and families about mental health and coping mechanisms.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.




Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
Conduct workshops, awareness programs, and mental health initiatives.

Required Qualifications:
Master’s Degree / M.Phil in Clinical Psychology or Applied Psychology
RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) Registration (mandatory in India)
Relevant experience in hospital or healthcare settings (oncology experience preferred)

Reporting To:
Medical Director / Head of Department (Psychology / Oncology)

Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
