Conduct time & motion studies and line balancing
Improve manpower utilization and workflow efficiency
Standardize processes and prepare SOPs & work instructions
Cost Reduction
Identify cost saving opportunities in materials, cycle time, and manpower
Reduce wastage, rework, and process losses
Implement lean manufacturing techniques (Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping)
Monitor production cost vs. standard cost
OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) Improvement
Track availability, performance, and quality losses
Identify bottlenecks and downtime root causes
Implement corrective and preventive actions
Coordinate with maintenance for breakdown reduction
NPD (Recent Product Development) Support
Participate in new product trials and pilot runs
Define process parameters, cycle time & capacity planning
Prepare process flow, PFMEA, and control plan
Support production handover after successful validation
Continuous
Improvement
Lead Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing initiatives
Implement productivity improvement projects
Conduct root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone, Pareto
Drive culture of operational excellence
Data Monitoring & Reporting
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly productivity & efficiency reports
Maintain KPI dashboards (OEE, rejection, cycle time, utilization)
Provide recommendations based on data analysis
Required Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering tools
Expertise in OEE calculation & productivity improvement
Valuable knowledge of process validation & documentation
MS Excel / ERP knowledge preferred
Qualification
BE/B.Tech – Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering
Experience
3 to 7 years in manufacturing industry (Medical device / engineering / assembly preferred)
