Job Summary The Front Line Sales Officer (FLSO) General Trade is responsible for driving primary and secondary sales, expanding market reach, and ensuring effective distribution within the assigned territory. The role involves managing retailer relationships, executing trade marketing initiatives, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
Ensure product availability and visibility across assigned outlets.
Drive secondary sales through distributors and retailers.
Distributor Management
Work closely with distributors to ensure optimal stock levels.
Monitor distributor performance and ensure timely order placement.
Support billing, collections, and reconciliation processes.
Market Coverage
Plan and execute daily beat plans to maximize outlet coverage.
Identify and onboard new retailers/outlets.
Ensure adherence to route plans and coverage norms.
Retailer Relationship Management
Build solid relationships with retailers and key accounts.
Address retailer concerns and ensure high service levels.
Negotiate shelf space, visibility, and promotions.
Trade Marketing Execution
Implement promotional activities and schemes in the market.
Ensure proper display and merchandising as per company guidelines.
Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence.
Reporting & Compliance
Maintain daily sales reports and activity trackers.
Provide accurate market feedback and insights.
Ensure compliance with company policies and processes.

8.Qualifications & Experience
1–3 years of experience in FMCG/FMCD sales (General Trade preferred).
Strong understanding of local market dynamics.

Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work in a target-driven setting
Basic knowledge of MS Excel and sales reporting tools
10.Other Requirements
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
Valid two-wheeler license (if applicable)
