Role & responsibilities:

1) Greetings Guests:

Warmly welcoming guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a friendly and courteous demeanor.

Providing guests with a pleasant first impression and making them feel valued and appreciated.

Seating Guests:

Managing the seating chart and coordinating table assignments based on reservations, table availability, and guest preferences.

Escorting guests to their tables and ensuring they are seated comfortably in a timely manner.

Reservation Management:

Handling reservation inquiries, confirming reservations, and recording guest preferences or special requests.

Managing the reservation book or electronic reservation system to optimize seating arrangements and accommodate walk-in guests.

Maintaining Waitlist:

Managing waitlist during busy periods, accurately estimating wait times, and providing guests with updates on their status.

Communicating with guests regarding available seating options and offering alternatives if necessary.

Assisting Guests:

Providing guests with menus, explaining menu items, and answering any questions or concerns they may have.

Assisting guests with special requests, dietary restrictions,



or accommodations to ensure a personalized dining experience.

Coordinating with Servers:

Communicating with servers to ensure timely seating and smooth transitions between guests.

Providing servers with information about guest preferences, special occasions, or specific requests to enhance service.

Handling Guest Complaints:

Addressing guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy, and resolving issues to the best of their ability.

Escalating unresolved issues to management as needed and following up to ensure guest satisfaction.

Maintaining Cleanliness:

Monitoring the cleanliness and appearance of the host stand, lobby area, and entrance to ensure a tidy and welcoming environment.

Promptly clearing tables and resetting them for new guests during peak periods to minimize wait times.

Preferred candidate profile:

Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred.

Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
