Job Description Summary
The Primary Engineering Leader, supervises, coordinates design teams in their field of activities. Assists Engineering Managers, Lead engineers at project launching phase, control engineering process follow up, ensures the proper management of interfaces with our partners and Regional Engineering counterparts. Head of group is accountable for the proper allocation of resources required to execute the projects, looks for design subcontractors to adapt resources to the workload plan and optimize design budget ($$). Handles specific actions, organize know how capitalization and Return on Experience to improve global engineering efficiency for relevant activities.
Head of group is accountable for the proper compliance to the ‘state of the art’ and applicable standards and regulations in his field of activity, is considered as technical referent for the teams. As manager, the Head of group is in charge of conducting performance assessment of their teams.




Primary Engineering Leader is functionally reporting to the GEC Business Leader and leads a team of 80+ members including Engineering Managers, Lead Engineers, Engineers and Designers in medium and full set projects context.

Job Description
Key mission of the Primary Engineering Leader:

Project management
Scope of work, time schedule,
Consulted on design task list at project launch.
Review of general time schedule and assignment of resources to start engineering.
Check that all required engineering tools are available to execute the project for relevant activities.

Resources
Accountable for design budget on ongoing projects
One monthly basis allocates design resources to execute all ongoing projects.
Manage design workload plan for their discipline and proposes resource arbitration.

Team management
Lead & coordinate design teams of their discipline
Animate regular internal team meeting.
Hold performance development meeting with their team members and propose development plan.
