In our expanding Livable Places team, an chance exists for a talented Engineer to assist in the development, design and delivery of a range of transport schemes including walking and cycling, road safety, highway, and parking. Projects range from scheme development to design and implementation.
We require an individual with experience in some or all of the following areas to fulfil our expanding portfolio of work from public and private sector organisations:
Highway/ Transport infrastructure design, low/ medium cost highway design schemes.
Public realm Design- Footways/ Cycleways, Design of Pedestrian/ Cycle crossings.
Design of Bus Corridors/ Park and Ride schemes.
Junction Design – Priority/ Signalised/ Roundabout Junctions.
Road Signs and Markings design.




Parking studies/ strategies.
Technical report for scheme appraisals.
Vehicle Swept path analysis.
Basic Knowledge on Traffic Signals.
Project Management – Design Decision Registers/ Design Risk Registers.

Responsibilities
Projects will largely focus on the UK, although a range of prospects exist for work in other regions.
Working on public and private sector schemes, the role holder will be required to provide technical support on various engineering projects from initiation to completion. Working alongside Senior, Principal and Associate Engineers, your team will be responsible for delivering a wide range of project outputs to the high standards expected by WSP and our clients.
