–Welding Engineer

Job Title: Welding Engineer

Location: Sonipat, Haryana

Qualification
B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Welding, Metallurgical, or Production Engineering.
Certification or working knowledge of EN 15085 will be an added advantage.

Experience
3–8 years of relevant experience in welding engineering, welding coordination, or fabrication, preferably in the railway or heavy engineering industry.

Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with EN 15085 welding requirements and applicable customer/industry standards.
Prepare, review, and maintain Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualification Records (WPQR).
Coordinate all welding activities to ensure adherence to approved welding procedures and quality requirements.
Monitor and optimize MIG, TIG, and Laser Welding processes.
Coordinate welder qualification and ensure welding personnel are certified as per project requirements.
Review and interpret Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) reports and ensure timely closure of quality observations.
Identify welding defects, perform root cause analysis,



and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Maintain welding documentation, inspection records, qualification records, and traceability documents.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, Design, and Project teams to ensure timely execution of welding activities.
Support internal, customer, and third-party audits related to welding processes and documentation.

Required Knowledge & Skills
EN 15085 welding requirements.
Welding specifications, procedures, and quality standards.
WPS, PQR, and WPQR preparation and qualification.
NDT methods and interpretation.
MIG, TIG, and Laser Welding processes.
Welding defect analysis and CAPA implementation.
Welding coordination in compliance with applicable standards.
Solid documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation.
