JD: Senior Design Engineer (PTC Onshape)

Summary

Design Engineer will drive ongoing design changes with robust expertise in Structural design, Piping design, Machined components using PTC Onshape.

Support

Manufacturing team to resolve technical issues, while providing expertise to team on engineering processes, process drawing preparation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in developing industrial components such as Pipes, valves, manifold blocks, and housings, ensuring designs meet performance, manufacturability, and quality standards.

Roles and Responsibilities
Hands on experience in 3D design software PTC Onshape Component, Assembly, Top-Down Design assembly applicable industries in Oil & Gas, data centre infrastructure.
Design and develop industrial product components (Valves, manifolds, housings), design using PTC Onshape software.
Create and validate models and assemblies, drawings as per ASME section VIII / 31.3 / 31.1 / 31.8, ISO, DIN, AWS.
Conduct tolerance analysis, apply GD&T; for critical component & assembly.
High level of drawings / schematics / Standards understanding.
Coordinate with Onsite design team on technical matters to meet project Specification & Schedule.




Develop Bills of Material (BOM) & documents for design.

Required Qualifications
BE Mechanical Engineering degree from an accredited 4-year university or college.
5 to 8 years experience in Product Design, Piping design.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining operations, Pipe routing & component selection.
Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems.
Solid leadership skills with pro-active approach
Excellent communication, presentation, and technical writing skills
Fluent in English
