Job Title: Maintenance Officer
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Officer is responsible for overseeing the technical operations, maintenance, and overall upkeep of a commercial building’s infrastructure. The role involves managing maintenance teams, coordinating with contractors and vendors, ensuring compliance with safety and statutory requirements, and maintaining productive building operations to provide a protected, functional, and comfortable workplace for occupants and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Management:
Oversee maintenance and operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, BMS, fire safety, civil, and other building systems.
Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
Ensure timely response and resolution of building system issues and emergencies.
Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for repairs, servicing, and upgrades.

Team Leadership:
Lead, supervise, and mentor the maintenance team.
Plan duty rosters and assign daily maintenance tasks.




Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback and training.

Safety and Compliance:
Ensure all building systems comply with local, state, and central regulations.
Conduct routine safety inspections and address identified risks or hazards.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, certifications, and repairs.

Energy Management:
Monitor energy consumption and optimize system efficiency.
Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainability measures.
Track, analyze, and report energy usage and cost savings.

Budget and Cost Management:
Prepare and manage the maintenance and utilities budget.
Monitor expenses and approve maintenance-related expenditures.
Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising safety or quality.

Project Management:
Plan and oversee capital improvement and renovation projects.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors
