Omnicell is seeking an experienced and hands-on Manager of Software Engineering
to lead our development team in creating cutting-edge healthcare technology
solutions. This role will be responsible for overseeing both recent and legacy
systems, ensuring that our software development efforts meet the evolving needs
of healthcare providers. The ideal candidate will combine robust technical
expertise with a deep understanding of the healthcare industry to drive our
software initiatives forward. They will also be a team player that collaborates
effectively across the organizations to ensure high quality solutions delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of software engineers, fostering a culture of
innovation and continuous improvement
Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define and
implement software solutions that meet the needs of healthcare providers
Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from design and architecture
to deployment and maintenance
Actively participate in hands-on development tasks, including coding,
debugging,
and troubleshooting both new applications and legacy systems
Ensure adherence to best practices in software engineering, including code
quality, testing, and documentation
Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to deliver high-quality
software on schedule
Champion AI adoption and best practices across the team, embedding AI into
daily execution to improve quality, accelerate enhancements, strengthen root
cause analysis and troubleshooting, increase operational efficiency, and
drive continuous improvement.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in healthcare IT
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
with 6+ years of relevant experience; or Associate degree in a related field
with 10+ years of relevant experience; or 15+ years of relevant experience
