About the Role
We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Head of Database Engineering to
own and evolve our entire database ecosystem. This is a senior leadership role
that goes beyond operations — you will define the long-term database strategy,
drive architectural decisions, lead a high-performing team, and ensure our
systems are secure, scalable, and cost-productive across our multi-cloud
workplace (GCP & AWS).

What You'll Do
Strategic & Architectural Leadership
Define and execute a long-term database strategy aligned with business
objectives, focusing on scalability, resilience, and security
Lead all architectural decisions across database solutions with a
security-by-design approach across GCP and AWS
Drive aggressive cost optimization strategies and provide regular reporting
on efficiency and savings
Research and evaluate emerging database technologies to modernize our stack
and drive upgrade/consolidation initiatives
Proactively forecast capacity needs to support growing user base,
transaction volumes, and data loads
Operational Excellence & Governance
Own end-to-end management, health, and performance of all production and
non-production database environments
Design and implement a comprehensive monitoring, loggi
