Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist with solid expertise in Power BI testing and Microsoft Fabric migrations. This role will play a critical part in ensuring data integrity, reliability, and performance across our reporting and analytics environment. The ideal candidate will combine front-end user testing skills (Power BI Service navigation, validating report usability) with back-end data validation (SQL queries, pipeline testing, data model checks).

Mandatory skills:

Microsoft Fabric expertise with notebook development

More specifically, the core skills would be:
Microsoft Fabric (Data Engineering / Data Analytics setting)
Notebook development in Fabric (typically using PySpark / Spark SQL)
Data migration experience to Microsoft Fabric
Testing and validation within Fabric notebooks
Understanding of QA automation in data platforms

Key Responsibilities




QA Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement QA strategies for data workflows, pipelines, and models within Microsoft Fabric.
Establish repeatable testing processes to validate data quality, consistency, and accuracy across Power BI reports and semantic models.
Testing & Validation
Test Power BI Service functionality, including navigation, permissions, and user interactions.
Validate front-end report outputs and ensure consistency with underlying data sources.
Query SQL backend sources to confirm data accuracy, transformations, and performance.
Compare legacy vs. Fabric settings to ensure identical functionality and results.
Automation & Documentation
Design and manage automated testing processes for pipelines, models, and integrations.
Document test cases, scenarios, and outcomes in a clear, reproducible manner.
Track and report quality metrics, ensuring SLAs for data availability and accura
