Job Title: Lead Software Engineer

As an AI Lead, you will own end-to-end delivery of GenAI engagements for Opteamix's enterprise clients, working alongside architects and project managers to take RAG and agentic AI systems from design into production. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership of a small team of AI engineers.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Lead AI engagement delivery:
Own end-to-end delivery of GenAI engagements for enterprise clients.
Work alongside architects and project managers to take AI initiatives from discovery through production rollout and steady-state operations.
Set and communicate transparent expectations on timelines, quality standards, and deliverables.
Design and build GenAI systems:
Own detailed design across RAG pipelines, multi-agent and agentic workflows, function/tool calling, and MCP-based integrations, and lead module-level architectural decisions where required.




Lead the team in shipping production-grade GenAI applications on at least one major cloud, with deployment automated via containers, infrastructure-as-code, and CI/CD.
Tune systems for cost, latency, and reliability under enterprise workloads.
Own GenAI evaluation, observability, and safety:
Build evaluation harnesses for prompts, retrieval, and agent workflows.
Monitor for hallucinations, grounding issues, cost, and latency.
Implement guardrails against prompt injection and other data exposure risks.
Lead a team of AI engineers:
Lead and mentor a team of 3+ AI engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and pair programming.
Set engineering standards for prompt management, evaluation, and experiment tracking.
Conduct performance reviews and provide structured feedback.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams:
Partner with security, compliance, and QA teams to deliver within enterprise constraints.
Engage directly with client SMEs throughout the delivery lifecycle.
