Position Summary

Deloitte Tax Services India Private Limited offers professionals the opportunity to support global clients through specialized tax compliance services in a agile delivery setting. As a Tax Consultant II supporting German Tax Compliance, you will work on individual tax return compliance and connected activities while collaborating with teams in India, Germany, and the broader Deloitte network. This role offers exposure to cross-border tax processes, global stakeholder interaction, and opportunities to build technical and operational capabilities in a growing practice.

Work you'll do

As a Tax Consultant II on the German Tax Compliance team, you will be responsible for:

Prepare and support German tax compliance activities for individual taxpayers, including tax returns of varying complexity and connected services such as tax office inquiries and tax briefings.

Monitor client information, including work status and contact details, and manage the setup and coordination of the compliance process.

Identify and document issues, prepare client queries,



and respond to technical questions from clients in coordination with the engagement team.

Maintain and update trackers and status reports for internal and external reporting purposes while communicating regularly with the team on client status and progress.

Collaborate with onshore and offshore stakeholders to support timely, accurate delivery and provide exceptional client service across the compliance lifecycle.

The team

The Tax practice is comprised of specialists who perform different income tax compliance processes including: Preparation of income personal income tax returns, review of tax assessments resulting thereof, dealing with tax authorities’ inquiries as well as questions from the global assignees themselves, tax briefings with global assignees, performing tax calculations in accordance to an employer’s policy. You will work with tax professionals in Hyderabad, Bengaluru
