We are seeking a talented and passionate Dance Teacher specializing in Bharatanatyam and/or Kathak to join our school community. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching classical Indian dance forms to students across various grade levels, nurturing artistic expression, discipline, confidence, and appreciation for India’s rich cultural heritage.

Education/Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field from a recognized institution.
Formal training/certification in Bharatanatyam and/or Kathak from a reputed institution is mandatory.

Experience

Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience in a reputed school, dance academy, or cultural institution.
Experience in choreographing performances for school functions, competitions, and cultural events.

Additional Qualification

Recognized certifications or diplomas in Bharatanatyam and/or Kathak.




Robust understanding of dance theory, rhythm (taal), expressions (abhinaya), and stage presentation.
Ability to train students for inter-school competitions and annual performances.

Skills

Expertise in Bharatanatyam and/or Kathak techniques, repertoire, and performance styles.
Ability to teach students of varying age groups and skill levels.
Solid choreography and performance planning skills.
Excellent classroom management and student motivation techniques.
Ability to integrate theory, storytelling, and cultural context into dance instruction.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Passion for preserving and promoting Indian classical arts.
