Job Description:

Position: Unit Asst. Manager - Reprocessing

Location: Silvassa

Experience: 4 - 8 Years

Industry: Packaging

Responsibilities:
Manage daily operations of plastic recycling processes including sorting, shredding, washing, drying, extrusion, pelletizing, and packing.
Ensure production targets (output, yield, quality) are met as per business requirements.
Optimize machine utilization, throughput, and process efficiency.
Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all plant activities.
Ensure recycled products meet defined quality standards (MFI, contamination level, moisture, color,density).
Coordinate with QA/QC for testing, inspections, and corrective actions.
Handle customer audits and quality-related complaints.
Plan and monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance of recycling machinery and utilities.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Support commissioning of recent machinery and process upgrades.




Ensure continuous availability of plastic scrap / post-consumer waste / post-industrial waste.
Control yield losses, wastage, and inventory variances.
Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams for scrap sourcing and dispatch planning.
Ensure strict adherence to EHS norms, pollution control guidelines, and factory safety standards.
Maintain compliance with CPCB / SPCB, EPR, ESG, ISO 9001/14001, and local statutory requirements.
Lead safety trainings, audits, and incident investigations.
Lead, train, and develop operators, supervisors, and technicians.
Manage manpower planning, productivity, shift scheduling, and discipline.
Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Monitor plant KPIs: cost per kg, power consumption, yield, downtime, rejection, and OEE.
Drive cost reduction initiatives and operational excellence projects.
Prepare MIS reports, production dashboards, and monthly performance reviews.
