WSP India is currently seeking a Principal Engineer – Pipeline for Australia Mining Infrastructure Projects (Materials Handling Infrastructure). They shall be responsible for engineering design of Process with WSP Engineering and Client Standards. Previous experience in an EPCM setting in the O & G, Power plant, Chemical process plant, Mining processing industry is an asset.

A Team player and willing to work collaboratively with a motivated and highly successful team in Australia. The position will be for Mumbai location.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a Principal Pipeline Engineer to support mining infrastructure projects across Australia, with a robust focus on pumping systems, pipeline networks, and water management systems.

This is a hybrid role combining process engineering, hydraulic analysis, and pipeline/pumping system design, rather than a conventional EPC-style discipline role.

The position will lead technical delivery, mentor engineers, and interface with multidisciplinary teams across Australia and India.





The role requires close collaboration and effective coordination with clients, multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, suppliers, pipeline route survey consultants, geotechnical investigation teams, construction contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure engineering excellence, compliance with project requirements, timely delivery of deliverables, and successful project execution.

Technical Leadership

Lead design and analysis of:
Pumping systems (HP pumps, transfer systems)
Pipeline and network systems (water, slurry, dewatering)
Define system philosophy:
Pumping strategy and operating scenarios
Overpressure and surge protection philosophy
Brownfield integration and tie-ins
Provide technical assurance and review of key deliverables like Pipeline route selection and feasibility studies, material selection, wall thickness design, pipeline stress analysis in accordance with applicable international codes and stand
