Job Description:
Leadership & Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of instrumentation engineers and technicians.
Establish performance objectives, conduct regular reviews, and ensure proper training and development for staff.
Manage departmental budgets and resources efficiently.
Instrumentation & Control Systems Management
Oversee the maintenance and optimization of all instrumentation, control systems, and related equipment.
Ensure continuous, reliable operation of all critical control and monitoring systems in the plant.
Implement strategies for reducing downtime and improving system reliability.
Project Management & Process Improvements
Lead and support engineering projects related to instrumentation, including recent installations, upgrades, and system improvements.
Collaborate with other departments to design and implement automation systems for efficiency and safety improvements.
Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all instruments and systems comply with industry standards, local regulations, and safety requirements.
Develop and implement procedures for instrument calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Foster a culture of safety and environmental stewardship, ensuring minimal disruption to operations due to instrument failures.
Troubleshooting & Optimization
Address complex instrumentation problems and provide solutions to enhance process stability and performance.
Analyze performance data and recommend system upgrades or changes for enhanced plant performance and energy efficiency.
Utilize predictive maintenance and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues before they lead to downtime.
Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to coordinate efforts in process optimization and troubleshooting.
