Role & Responsibilities
Perform pre-operative evaluations, assist in complex general surgeries, and manage post-operative patient recovery under consultant supervision.
Lead emergency surgical interventions—including trauma, acute appendicitis, hernias, and intestinal obstructions—with rapid decision-making under pressure.
Document surgical procedures, patient outcomes, and complications accurately in hospital EMR systems with zero delays.
Collaborate with anaesthesiology, ICU, nursing, and surgical tech teams to ensure seamless perioperative coordination and safety.
Participate in daily ward rounds, case discussions,



and morbidity & mortality reviews to improve clinical outcomes and surgical protocols.
Train and mentor junior residents and interns in surgical technique, sterile protocols, and intraoperative communication.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have
MBBS with valid NMC registration
Completed DNB/MS Surgery or in final year of training
Proven hands-on experience in general surgery procedures (laparoscopic/open)
Emergency surgical case handling (trauma, GI emergencies, infections)
Proficiency in surgical documentation using EMR systems
ACLS certification

Preferred
Experience in multi-specialty hospital setting
Basic laparoscopic skills or fellowship training exposure
Publication or presentation at surgical conferences
