Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Spillage Mock Drill Trainer to design and conduct structured training sessions focused on secure management of biological, chemical, and hazardous material spills within healthcare settings.
The trainer will be responsible for educating clinical and non-clinical staff on immediate response actions, containment procedures, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and compliance with hospital safety and infection control protocols. The training will include practical demonstrations and real-time mock drill simulations to ensure staff readiness during emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver comprehensive training on spill management protocols (blood/body fluid spills, chemical spills, cytotoxic spills, etc.).
Conduct live mock drills simulating real-time spill scenarios.
Train staff on proper use of spill kits and PPE.
Educate participants on containment, disinfection, and disposal procedures.
Ensure compliance with hospital infection control and safety guidelines.
Guide staff on incident reporting and documentation procedures.
Conduct pre- and post-drill evaluations to assess response effectiveness.
Provide corrective action recommendations and improvement plans.
Prepare drill reports and compliance documentation.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of hospital infection control and spill management protocols.
Practical experience in handling biological and chemical spill incidents.
Familiarity with Bio-Medical Waste Management rules and safety standards.
Ability to conduct live demonstrations and emergency simulations.
Robust communication and facilitation skills.
