We are seeking a Quality Engineer with 2 to 4 years of experience to join our energetic team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in SQL Jira Ruby and Tosca with a preference for those familiar with Property & Casualty Insurance or Life and Annuities Insurance. This hybrid role offers the prospect to work on innovative projects in a day shift without the need for travel.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute test plans to ensure software quality and functionality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software defects.
Utilize SQL for data validation and to support testing activities.
Implement automated testing scripts using Ruby and Tosca to enhance testing efficiency.
Track and manage defects using Jira to ensure timely resolution.
Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address underlying issues.
Provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements to enhance product quality.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software testing.
Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to quality standards.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress and outcomes.
Stay updated with the latest testing tools and methodologies to continuously improve testing processes.
Contribute to the development of testing documentation and guidelines.
Support the team in achieving project milestones and deliverables. Qualifications
Demonstrate proficiency in SQL Jira Ruby and Tosca for effective testing.
Possess solid analytical skills to identify and resolve software issues.
Exhibit excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Have a keen eye for detail to ensure thorough testing and quality assurance.
Show familiarity with Property & Casualty Insurance or Life and Annuities Insurance as a plus.
