Role Purpose

To manage effectively and coordinate matters related to the
Right to Information Act, 2005, including handling RTI applications, First
Appeals before the First Appellate Authority (FAA), and Second
Appeals/complaints before the Honourable Central Information Commission (CIC),
while ensuring timely compliance and legal robustness.

Key Responsibilities

· Process,
examine, and coordinate responses to RTI applications in compliance with the
RTI Act, 2005 and related rules/guidelines.

· Prepare
and review replies, legal submissions, speaking orders, briefs, and case
records for RTI matters.

· Coordinate
representation in Second Appeals/Complaints before the Honourable CIC.

· Coordinate
with internal departments and stakeholders to obtain information.

· Maintain
records, MIS reports, documentation, and case tracking systems related to RTI
applications, appeals and complaints.

· Monitor
statutory timelines, ensure compliances under the RTI Act.

· Conduct
legal research and provide expert guidance and strategic recommendations on RTI
matters.

Requirements




Educational Qualifications

· Bachelor's
Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.

· Higher
legal qualifications (LL.M.) will be an added advantage.

Experience

· Experience
in legal, regulatory, compliance, RTI or litigation-related functions.

· Prior
exposure to RTI matters, quasi-judicial proceedings or legal departments will
be preferred.
