Drawing blood from patients using venipuncture or finger-prick techniques.
Verifying patient identity and ensuring correct labeling of blood samples.
Explaining procedures to patients and helping them feel comfortable.
Following infection control and safety protocols to prevent contamination.
Properly handling, storing, and transporting blood specimens to the laboratory.
Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
Monitoring patients for adverse reactions during or after blood collection.
Ensuring all equipment is clean, sterile, and functioning properly.
