Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the housekeeping team to maintain a clean, secure, and sanitary environment for clients. This role involves inspecting work areas, training staff, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Supervision and Training
Oversee daily housekeeping operations and ensure compliance with standards.
Train, schedule, and monitor the performance of housekeeping staff.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas.
Quality Control
Ensure all rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
Address and resolve any housekeeping-related issues or complaints promptly.
Implement and maintain housekeeping quality standards and procedures.
Inventory Management
Manage housekeeping supplies and equipment inventory.
Order and stock necessary supplies while maintaining budget guidelines.
Ensure proper use and care of housekeeping equipment and supplies.
Administrative Duties
Prepare and maintain records of work assignments, inventory, and personnel actions.
Assist in developing and implementing housekeeping policies and procedures.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Health and Safety
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular training on safety and hygiene standards.
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate department.
6.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality management is a plus.
Proven experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor or similar role.
Robust leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
