Core Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Run, monitor, and adjust production-grade digital printing presses.
File Preparation: Check incoming digital files for proper layout, resolution, and margins.
Color Management: Use RIP software to calibrate colors and match client proofs.
Inventory Control: Load paper stocks, track ink/toner levels, and minimize material waste.
Quality Checks: Inspect live print runs for lines, smudges, or color shifts.
Basic Finishing: Assist with cutting, scoring, laminating, and binding operations.
Daily Maintenance: Clean machines, transparent jams, and schedule routine service calls.
Requirements & Skills
Experience: 1–2 years in a digital print shop setting.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with RIP software (like Fiery) and print file formats (PDF, TIFF).
Software Knowledge: Basic handling of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or CorelDRAW.
Work Ethic: Solid eye for detail, good time management, and ability to lift paper reams.
Education: High school completion or equivalent; technical graphics diplomas are a plus.
