Key Responsibilities
Review and dispense prescriptions accurately as per doctor's orders.
Verify medication dosages, interactions, contraindications, and allergies.
Provide counseling to patients regarding medication usage, dosage, storage, and side effects.
Maintain proper records of medication dispensing and inventory.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate procurement to prevent shortages.
Ensure proper storage and handling of medicines according to regulatory requirements.
Participate in medication safety initiatives and quality improvement programs.
Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare specialists regarding medication-related concerns.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, pharmacy regulations, and accreditation standards.
Handle controlled drugs and narcotics as per statutory guidelines.
Monitor expiry dates and arrange timely disposal of expired medications.
Assist in preparing pharmacy reports and documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy (B.Pharm/D.Pharm).
