The QS & Billing Coordination Engineer is responsible for managing quantity surveying tasks, preparing and verifying bills, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring accurate cost control and billing processes. The role involves close collaboration with site engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely and exact financial documentation of project progress.
Key Responsibilities
Quantity Surveying
Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
Verify quantities executed at site with actual progress
Assist in BOQ (Bill of Quantities) preparation and review
Monitor material consumption and wastage
Billing & Invoicing
Prepare client bills (RA bills/final bills) based on work progress
Verify contractor and subcontractor bills
Ensure all billing is supported with proper documentation and measurements
Track billing cycles and ensure timely submission
Cost Control
Monitor project costs against budget
Identify cost variations and report deviations
Assist in preparation of cost reports and forecasts
Coordination
Coordinate with site engineers for progress data and measurements
Liaise with planning, procurement, and finance teams
Support project manager in financial tracking and reporting
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain records of bills, measurements, and contracts
Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
Prepare and manage variation orders and claims
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
2–7 years of experience in QS/Billing in construction or infrastructure projects
Robust knowledge of BOQ, estimation, and billing processes
Proficiency in MS Excel and billing/ERP software (e.g., SAP, Primavera, etc.)
