Position: Consultant (Pathologist)
Location: Gwalior
Role & responsibilities :
Conduct routine reporting of Haematology, Biochemistry, Immunoassay, Serology, and Clinical Pathology reports.
Review and interpret Peripheral Smears.
Supervise the work of technical staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Train technical staff to enhance their skills and maintain quality standards.
Provide advisory services and engage with patients and clinicians.
Promote research initiatives and contribute to scientific publications; represent the organization by presenting papers at conferences and CMEs.
Ensure Quality Controls (QCs) are performed as per the IQC protocol.
Participate actively in internal audits to uphold quality standards.
Counsel HIV-positive patients with sensitivity and professionalism.
Collaborate with Quality and OCC teams to address patient queries.
Ensure timely release of reports within the defined Turn-Around-Time (TAT).
Coordinate with regulatory authorities to maintain NABL accreditation and comply with statutory requirements.
Promote the optimal utilization of laboratory facilities.
Evaluate and monitor Proficiency Testing (PT) performance.
Provide support on other technical aspects (like quality & accreditation etc.) as needed time to time.
Handle any other task or responsibilities assigned by the Reporting Manager/ Management.
Skill Set Required:
Robust knowledge of Haematology, Biochemistry, Serology, and Clinical Pathology.
Familiarity with laboratory analyzers, automation systems, and troubleshooting.
Sound understanding of IQC, EQAS/PT, and quality assurance processes.
Working knowledge of NABL accreditation standards and regulatory guidelines.
Ability to review, validate, and release reports with precision.
Supervise, mentor, and train technical staff.
Team-oriented approach with cross-functional teams (Quality, Clinicians, Regulatory).
