About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled Backend / Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, secure, and high-performance distributed systems capable of handling large-scale messaging and data processing workloads. The role focuses on building event-driven microservices using Java and Python, implementing real-time streaming pipelines with Kafka, and managing high-volume transactional and analytical databases.

What youll be Responsible for?
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Java and Python.
Build and optimize event-driven architectures using Kafka for real-time data ingestion, processing, and delivery.
Develop high-performance APIs and backend services capable of handling millions of transactions per day.
Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexing strategies for MySQL and Aerospike.
Work with Greenplum clusters for large-scale analytical workloads, reporting, and historical data processing.
Manage and optimize Level DB-based storage systems for low-latency key-value data access requirements.
Ensure high availability, fault tolerance,



and disaster recovery across distributed systems and databases.
Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and Product teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

What you’d have?
5–8 years of experience in backend or platform engineering with strong exposure to distributed systems.
Strong hands-on experience with Java and Python application development.
Extensive experience with Apache Kafka including producers, consumers, partitioning, and performance tuning.
Solid expertise in MySQL includes query optimization and replication strategies.
Experience with Aerospike for low-latency, high-throughput use cases.
Hands-on experience managing and optimizing Greenplum Cluster environments.
Valuable understanding of Level DB or embedded key-value storage technologies.
Experience with Linux environments, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
Robust problem-solving skills and ability to work in Agile development environments.
Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP would be an added advantage.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
