Job Description:
Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: daily accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
Prepare month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements according to GAAP.
Prepare and review financial information for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
Perform reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
Support external auditors by providing necessary information and preparing audit schedules.
Verification of employee claims as per company travel policies and posting relevant entries
Handling of daily payments to vendors, employees etc
Manage relationships with banks for issuance of EMD, BG, FD and also encashing after maturity
Manage relationships with customers for collection of DTA forms, TDS certificates on regular basis.
Filing of quarterly TDS returns, monthly GST filing and other statutory returns.
Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role, with at least 4 years in progressively responsible positions
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and tax laws
Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like QuickBooks, Tally and Zoho
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
