Key Responsibilities Engineering & Design
Multi-disciplinary co-ordination for all engineering and design activities.
Develop Control Narratives / Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
Prepare Cause & Effect (C&E;) diagrams aligned with P&IDs; and HAZOP
Prepare System Architecture Drawings (DCS/PLC, network layers, redundancy, interfaces, cybersecurity zones)
Design & review; control logic diagrams, control room layouts
Develop I/O lists, instrument index, panel interfaces
Develop FAT and SAT procedures
Safety & Process Integration
Support HAZOP, HAZID, SIL assessment and studies
Safety and alarm management philosophy
Translate process requirements into control strategies
Ensure alignment between P&IDs;, Narratives, C&E;, Architecture, Alarm philosophy
Documentation & Deliverables
Prepare Control Narratives, C&E;, Architecture drawings
Develop FAT/SAT documentation
Maintain document traceability and quality
Required Skills & Competencies
Expertise in Control Narratives, C&E;, Architecture drawings,
Test procedures
Experience with DCS (Honeywell, Emerson, ABB, Siemens) and PLC/SCADA
Architecture & Networking Knowledge oriented to Purdue Model / ISA-95, Redundancy, cybersecurity (DMZ, IEC 62443) fundamentals, Industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC, Profibus)
Engineering Tools
MS Vision and/or excel for deliverables; system architecture, C&E; and testing
Hands-on with AutoCAD, EPLAN, AVEVA is added advantage
Soft Skills
Robust analytical and documentation skills
Leadership and communication abilities while stakeholder Interface with Process, Electrical, Vendors, Clients
Participate in reviews and technical discussions
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation/Electrical/Electronics. PMP preferred.
