Key Responsibilities

Sampling & Analysis
Sample, test and approve/reject incoming raw materials and finished products against defined specifications.
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring correct calibration and reliable results.
Monitor quality at key production stages and support batch approval and release.

Coordination & Problem-Solving
Work closely with Production, Stores and Purchase to resolve quality issues, address non-conforming materials and support smooth, uninterrupted operations.
Investigate deviations and batch failures, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Documentation & Standards
Maintain QC records, test reports, batch registers and material storage documentation accurately and up to date.
Support quality systems and audit readiness, ensuring compliance with internal standards and applicable norms (e.g. ISO / BIS where relevant).

Lab Supervision & Team Handling
Ensure lab safety, housekeeping,



proper handling of chemicals .

Desired Candidate Profile
B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry
2 - 5 years of QC / laboratory experience in the paint, coatings or chemical industry.
Sound knowledge of chemical analysis and instrumental testing methods.
Familiarity with dry-mix/construction chemical specifications, raw materials and quality standards.
Valuable documentation, record-keeping and reporting skills.
Ability to coordinate across departments and supervise a small lab team.
Working knowledge of MS Office; exposure to ERP / quality software is an advantage.
