The Manager Planning & Scheduling is responsible for independently managing planning functions across complex projects. This role ensures proper schedule development, resource optimization, risk management, and reporting accuracy. The Manager will serve as a key link between project execution teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to ensure delivery excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Schedule Development
Develop and validate multi-level project schedules using Primavera/MS Project.
Ensure logical sequencing of activities in alignment with project objectives.
Approve schedule updates made by site/execution teams.
Resource Planning
Allocate and balance manpower, material, and equipment effectively.
Prepare and approve project organization charts.
Optimize resource deployment while controlling costs.
Critical Path & Delay Analysis
Conduct CPA to identify and mitigate high-risk activities.
Review and enhance recovery plans developed by execution teams.
Monitoring & Reporting
Supervise and validate daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
Analyze progress using S-curves and other dashboard metrics.
Identify and report deviations from the baseline.
Risk Management & Contingency Planning
Evaluate schedule-related risks and recommend mitigation measures.
Ensure implementation and documentation of contingency plans.
Review Meetings
Lead internal planning review meetings.
Represent planning team in client review meetings.
Conduct subcontractor meetings to align timelines and deliverables.
Process Adherence & Improvement
Follow stablished planning processes and recommend improvements.
Ensure accurate data input and compliance with company standards.
Team Building & Development
Support in defining KRAs/KPIs for junior planners.
Onboard and mentor current joiners.
Drive a culture of learning and performance.
