Job Description:

The Head - Credit, Large Corporates is responsible for overseeing and managing the credit portfolio for large corporate clients, ensuring robust credit assessment, risk mitigation, and portfolio quality. The role involves leading the credit evaluation process, structuring deals, monitoring portfolio performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities: Credit Risk Assessment and Approval:
Lead the credit assessment of large corporate clients, analyzing financial statements, business models, and market dynamics.
Approve or recommend credit limits, ensuring alignment with the bank’s risk appetite and policies.
Develop creative solutions for structuring complex transactions.

Portfolio Management:
Monitor the credit portfolio for early warning signals and take proactive measures to mitigate risks.




Track portfolio performance and ensure the quality of the credit book remains robust.
Maintain a balanced portfolio, optimizing risk-adjusted returns.

Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with relationship managers and other business units to support client acquisition and retention.
Liaise with regulators, auditors, and other external stakeholders to ensure compliance and resolve queries.
Guide and mentor the credit team, building their capabilities for advanced credit analysis.

Compliance and Governance:
Ensure all credit approvals adhere to regulatory and internal policies.
Conduct periodic reviews of credit policies, recommending updates based on market and regulatory changes.
Maintain documentation and records in line with audit and compliance requirements.
