We are seeking an experienced and qualified classical dance teacher to join our IB World School team. The successful candidate will teach classical dance in the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and/or Middle Years Programme (MYP), and contribute to the development of our performing arts program.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach classical dance in the IB DP and/or MYP
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curricula aligned with IB standards
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback
Collaborate with colleagues to integrate dance into other subjects
Choreograph and direct IB-related performances and productions
Participate in IB-related training and career development
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Dance, Education, or related field
Teaching certification or equivalent experience
Experience teaching classical dance (e.g. Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Ballet)
Strong knowledge of IB dance curriculum and assessment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a multicultural environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Dance, Education, or related field
Experience teaching in an IB World School (DP/MYP)
Familiarity with IB curriculum development and implementation
Experience choreographing and directing dance performances
IB Requirements:
Understanding of IB pedagogy and assessment
Experience with IB internal assessments and external exams
Familiarity with IB curriculum and standards
