Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize, and control daily foundry operations for steel casting and mould production
Manage melting processes (Induction Furnace/Arc Furnace) and ensure proper metal chemistry
Supervise mould making, core making, pouring, fettling, and finishing processes
Ensure adherence to quality standards, drawings, and customer specifications
Monitor rejection rates and implement corrective & preventive actions
Coordinate with QA/QC, maintenance, stores, and planning teams
Ensure preventive maintenance of furnaces, moulding machines, and allied equipment
Control production cost, yield improvement, and raw material consumption
Ensure compliance with ISO / QMS / safety / statutory norms
Lead, train, and motivate production and supervisory staff
Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production and MIS reports
Support recent product development and process improvements
Desired Candidate Profile
Education:
B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical / Metallurgical Engineering
Experience:
8–15 years of experience in a steel foundry
Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial or leadership role
Robust exposure to steel casting, moulds, melting, and quality control
