Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sage 200 Consultant to support the implementation, configuration, customization, and ongoing support of Sage 200 ERP solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical expertise and work alongside the wider team to ensure the system supports finance, supply chain, and operational processes effectively.

Key Responsibilities

- Support gathering and analysis of business requirements from stakeholders and help translate them into Sage 200 system configurations.
- Support end-to-end Sage 200 implementations, including planning, design, build, testing, and go-live, under the direction of the project/engagement lead.
- Configure core Sage 200 modules (Financials, Sales/Purchase Ledger, Stock Control, Manufacturing, CRM integration, etc.) to meet business needs.
- Customize workflows, reports, and dashboards using Sage 200 tools (e.g., Report Designer, Business Intelligence, Sage 200 SDK where applicable).
- Manage data migration from legacy systems into Sage 200, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Provide training and documentation to end users and internal teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, liaising with Sage support or third-party developers as needed.
- Advise clients/stakeholders on best practices, upgrades, and add-on modules (e.g., Sage 200 Skilled/Standard, integrations with CRM, payroll, or e-commerce platforms).
- Stay current with Sage 200 updates,



patches, and new feature releases.
- Support integration with third-party applications via APIs or middleware.
- Required Skills & Experience

- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) implementing and supporting Sage 200 (Standard or Professional).
- Strong understanding of core accounting and ERP processes: general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, stock control, order processing, and manufacturing (if applicable).
- Hands-on experience with Sage 200 configuration, report writing, and data migration tools.
- Familiarity with SQL Server, as Sage 200 is typically built on a SQL Server database.
- Experience with Crystal Reports, Sage 200 Report Designer, or similar reporting tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work well within a team, following direction from project leads while contributing independently on assigned tasks.

Desirable Qualifications

- Experience with Sage 200 add-ons (e.g., Sicon, Draycir, Spindle, or similar).
- Knowledge of API integrations and middleware tools (e.g., Sage 200 Web API).
- Background in accountancy, finance, or business systems consulting.
- Experience working with UK GAAP/VAT regulations (if role is UK-based) or relevant regional compliance standards.
