The Billing Engineer will be responsible for quantity estimation, client and subcontractor billing, measurement verification, material reconciliation, cost monitoring, project progress reporting, and preparation of project-related documentation. The role requires close coordination with project execution, planning, stores, accounts, and client teams to ensure accurate billing, quantity control, and project cost management.
Key Responsibilities
Quantity Surveying
- Prepare detailed quantities of materials based on approved construction drawings.
- Verify quantities executed at site and maintain accurate quantity records.
- Prepare cross-sections and longitudinal sections (L-Sections) for quantity verification and material planning.
- Monitor project quantities and identify deviations from approved BOQ.
Billing & Measurement
- Prepare Client Running Account (RA) Bills, Final Bills, and Escalation Bills.
- Prepare and maintain Measurement Books (M.B.) as per project requirements.
- Prepare Subcontractor Bills based on certified measurements.
- Coordinate with clients for bill certification and payment follow-up.
Cost Control & Variations
- Prepare Variation (Excess/Saving) Statements.
- Prepare Extra Item Statements with supporting measurements and rate analysis.
- Assist in project cost monitoring and quantity reconciliation.
- Support preparation of rate analysis for non-BOQ items.
Planning & Reporting
- Prepare Monthly Work Schedules with balance quantities.
- Submit monthly project progress reports to clients.
- Prepare project cash flow statements.
- Forecast material requirements based on project progress.
Material Management
- Prepare Monthly Material Requirement Reports.
- Generate Material Reconciliation Statements.
- Coordinate with Stores and Accounts for material reconciliation and inventory verification.
- Ensure proper utilization of project materials and minimize wastage.
Coordination
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Planning Engineers, Stores, Accounts, and Client representatives.
- Maintain documentation related to measurements, billing, reconciliations, and project records.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and company procedures.
