Help patient accomplish treatment plan and accepttherapeutic devices by administering manual exercises; instructing,encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities, such asnon-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities, and daily-livingactivities and in using assistive and supportive devices, such as crutches,canes, and prostheses.

Daily rounds ofIn-patients.

Administer physical therapy treatments by givingmassages; initiating traction; applying physical agents; utilizing hydrotherapytanks and whirlpool baths, moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, andultrasound machines; directing treatments given by aides, technicians, andassistants.

Evaluate effects of physical therapy treatments andfit of prosthetic and orthotic devices by observing, noting, and evaluatingpatient's progress; recommending adjustments and modifications.

Complete discharge planning by consulting withphysicians, nurses, social workers, and other health care workers; contributingto patient care conferences.

Assure continuation of therapeutic plan followingdischarge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, families,and caregivers in home exercise programs; recommending and/or providingassistive equipment; recommending outpatient or home health follow-up programs.





Document patient care services by charting inpatient and department records.

Maintain patient confidence and protects hospitaloperations by keeping information confidential.

Maintain safe and clean working environment bycomplying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Protect patients and employees by adhering toinfection-control policies and protocols.

Ensure operation of equipment by completingpreventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions;troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.

Maintain professional and technical knowledge byattending educational workshops; reviewing skilled publications;establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

Develop physical therapy staff by providinginformation; developing and conducting in-service training programs.

Comply with local legal and professionalrequirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating futurelegislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on neededactions.

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing relatedresults as needed.

Maintaininginventory report of department on monthly basis.

Toplan special programme for Antenatal patients.

Do Intra operative neuromodulation for neuro andspine surgeries.

Provide home physiotherapy plan wherever advised.
