Role & responsibilities

- Break complex DCA project scopes into their component cost drivers and build detailed, defensible quotes from the ground up.
- Identify and account for every factor that affects pricing language scarcity/tier, audio specifications (e.g. 8kHz telephony vs 16kHz wideband), noise/SNR requirements, speaker and demographic stratification, script authoring, transcription and annotation depth, QA overheads, sourcing costs, and compliance.
- Proactively surface new pricing factors on novel projects that were not considered in prior quotes, and fold them into our models.
- Audit and pressure-test quotes prepared by others, catching missing scope, mis-costed drivers, and margin risk before they reach a client.
- Continuously deepen your understanding of the entire data collection and annotation value chain sourcing, recording, annotation, QA, tooling, and delivery.
- Document assumptions clearly and communicate reasoning concisely to the Operations Manager and the wider team.





Preferred candidate profile

- Masters degree in Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related quantitative field. Finance or Economics also welcome.
- A sharp, first-principles analytical mind — comfortable decomposing ambiguous problems and reasoning about many interacting variables at once.
- Exceptional attention to detail — you catch the thing everyone else missed.
- Strong written communication — able to explain complex cost logic clearly and concisely.
- Self-driven and intellectually curious, with a genuine appetite to learn a specialised industry deeply.
- Solid spreadsheet fluency and comfort with structured, quantitative modelling. (Python/SQL a plus, not required.)

Exposure to AI/ML training data, localization, BPO, or any pricing, estimation, or quoting function.
