Job Title: Insurance Underwriter (General Non-Life Insurance)

Job Summary: The Insurance Underwriter is responsible for assessing and evaluating insurance proposals, determining risk acceptability, pricing policies, and recommending appropriate coverage terms. The role requires close coordination with insurers to ensure competitive and sustainable underwriting decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and assess insurance proposals, applications, and supporting documents.
- Analyze risk exposures and determine insurability in accordance with underwriting guidelines.
- Determine policy terms, conditions, coverage limits, deductibles, and premiums.
- Obtain and review risk inspection reports, surveys, and technical assessments.
- Negotiate terms and pricing with Insurers.
- Ensure compliance with underwriting policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
- Prepare underwriting reports, quotations, endorsements,



and renewal recommendations.
- Support claims and risk management teams on coverage-related matters.
- Maintain strong relationships with insurers, clients, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Bachelor's degree with Professional qualifications such as Associate or equivalent is preferred.
- Robust analytical and risk assessment skills.
- Knowledge of insurance products, policy wordings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and underwriting systems.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.

Experience :

- 3 – 5 years in Insurance industry & preferred from Insurance Broking Industry
